Water Damage that is not mitigated within the first 12-24 hours can become Mold Damage (see below). Hence, it is critical and an insurance requirement that whatever emergency services are needed - should be performed ASAP to avoid additional and growing damage. Most HVAC systems in Arizona are wall and ceiling based systems while in colder climates, especially where basements are required, it is more common to have floor and basement Air Ducts.

Regardless, there are two ( 2) types of Air Ducts , those that "suck in air" are Main Returns and those that " blow out air" are Vents . It is most common for Air Ducts to get dirty beginning at the farthest point from the main unit (i.e., air flow slows down and particles drop out) and even more so at the vent grille where the flow is restricted the most.

Accordingly, it is more important to treat the issue as "cleaning" versus "HVAC" system issue. Our Certified Technicians are trained to address these issues and others. We will:

• Perform a walk-thru and identify all Air Ducts and their types (Vents or Main Returns)
• Open and clean each grille covering
• Inspect for visual signs of dust, pollutants and bacteria such as mold, mildew, dust mites
• Power brush all foreign debris and matter
• Vacuum using up to 20 feet as necessary, with truck-mount van system, pulling all debris back into the van - not blowing through the system as some others may do.
• Apply anti-microbial sanitizer (optional) to disinfect and kill all living bacteria or organisms (such as mold spores, mildew, or dust mites) that cause difficulty for those with breathing disorders like Emphysema, Asthma, and respiratory infections.
• Close and reset all grille openings.

Mold Damage - is a direct result of prior water / moisture damage that was not not are required when addressing significant odor problems such as smoke and other mal odors when Air Duct Cleaning and Sanitizing do not completely eradicate the odor problems. Ozone machine(s) are place in strategic locations within the premises and operate 24 hours a day and essentially kills the air and all contaminants in it. Typically it is required to run Ozone Machines for 2-3 days to ensure a total solution. Ask our professionally trained Technicians or staff if you have additional questions.
